New Barn!

In mid-April UMET packed up the horses, tack and jumps and moved to Treasure State Equestrian Center in Lolo! This new facility is just 10 miles from campus and includes private runs, specialized feed programs, a round pen, access to mountain trails, a cross country field, outdoor arena and a HEATED barn and indoor arena! That's right, comfortable riding practice throughout the cold Montana winters is in store for this year.

UMET Makes Crowdfunding Headlines

Leading up to UMET winning the 2014 Hunt Seat Team Regional Championship was one of the most nerve-wracking times in UMET history. After all the points from the year were tallied, UMET and Montana Sate University ended the year in a dead tie. After anxiously waiting for an answer and a winner to be announced, UMET got a phone call saying they were champions. Everyone was excited for the win, but the thought of getting to California for the Zone Championships was daunting. UMET took to the internet and raised over $4,000 to send riders to California to compete. Read some of the great stories written about the road to zones at The Missoulian, Brietbart News and the Montana Kaimin.
